Scouting is a FAMILY Adventure!
Cub Scout Pack 188 located in St. Petersburg, Florida, is sponsored by the Freemasons of Nitram Lodge. Our volunteer led organization practices a fun while learning Cub Scout program for boys and girls, Kindergarten thru 5th grade.
Children, families, and adult leaders work together to achieve these objectives:
Influence a child's character development and spiritual growth.
Develop habits and attitudes of good citizenship.
Encourage good sportsmanship and pride in growing strong in mind and body.
Improve understanding within the family.
Strengthen a child's ability to get along with others.
Foster a sense of personal achievement by developing new interests and skills.
Provide fun and exciting new things to do.
Show a child how to be helpful and do their best!
Prepare them to be a Scout BSA.
For some great information about Cub Scouting, specifically for parents, check out the Scout Parents Website.
Each year we customize our Pack Calendar to fit the needs of the current environment and our Pack Families. We typically have 3 to 4 camp-outs, Pinewood derby & Blue and Gold Potluck, join parades, outdoor day adventures such as hikes and afternoons at the park, extend our fun into summer activities and much much more! We work hard to provide a quality program and have been recognized the past 4 years through the Journey to Excellence Gold Award. Our leaders are dedicated parents and friends of scouting, just like you, that volunteer their time to help the Scouts succeed!
Our Cubmaster and Den Leaders create an interactive learning experience for everyone to enjoy together. We are always looking for parents, family members, and friends that wish to volunteer while participating in activities with the youths and watching them develop a love of Scouting as well as outdoor adventure!
